Dr. Kayla Dingman

Dr. Kayla M. Dingman, O.D. is a developmental optometrist and native of Fulton, NY. She did her undergraduate training at SUNY Geneseo, graduating with a BS degree in Biology and completed her Doctor of Optometry at Salus University in Pennsylvania.

She has completed several externship rotations including ones at the James H. Quillen Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Mountain Home, TN; Batavia VA Medical Center in Batavia, NY; The Eye Institute (TEI) of Salus University, and MyEyeDr in Merrimack, NH.

She is a member of the American Academy of Optometry and has attended their recent professional conferences in San Diego (2022), and New Orleans (2023).Dr. Dingman became interested in optometry while an undergrad. She has needed contacts/glasses since she was in 5th grade and going to the eye doctor was always a pleasant experience for her. She wanted to have a career in the medical field where she could meet different people, problem solve, in a mostly hands on role that was different day to day and had many different specialties.

In her role at Northern Optics she will prescribe corrective lenses, diagnose, and treat ocular diseases, and co-manage eye related issues with fellow optometrists/ophthalmologists. Her professional goals are to develop relationships with her new patients, provide compassionate eye care, help patients achieve the best vision they can with glasses/contacts, and continue to learn as the profession grows so she can be the best optometrist for her patients.

Dr. Dingman feels that optometry and ophthalmology are professions that evolve as we learn more about the eyes and ways to improve the management of eye conditions. She is looking forward to working with Dr. Baker, being closer to home, and the opportunity to provide quality eye care.
